FUNDING

The Forge at Ulgham will be owned by shareholders of the Ulgham Community Benefit Society (Ulgham CBS Limited). The society is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority - Company number 9157

Shares were on offer from 13th November until 31st December 2023 for anyone in the village and further a field. We have extended the offer in 2024 by public demand. We aim to raise between £300,000 and  £450,000 to buy the Forge building and land and refurbish the property. We aim to supplement this figure and any shortfalls with grants, crowdfunding and sponsorship

Our aim is to raise funds to cover the legal and conveyancing costs associated with the community purchase of the Forge. Donations to help with early funding will be very gratefully received.

The Ulgham CBS will investigate all avenues to seek out grant funding on behalf if the Forge project. 

The Community Ownership Fund (COF) :- The Ulgham CBS has initiated the process of seeking funds from COF. This fund is managed by the Department of Levelling Up Homes and Communities (DLUHC) both for capital and revenue funding.

The steering group are actively seeking sponsorship to assist in the fund raising campaign to save the Forge. A full sponsorship package will be released to attract local companies to advertise on this site as well as other branded products associated with the campaign.
